In 2025, an industrial manufacturer in Luoyang sought a more efficient solution to replace traditional manual grinding for rust removal on dump truck bodies. Manual grinding was slow, labor-intensive, and often produced inconsistent cleaning results, which affected coating adhesion and overall product durability.
To solve this problem, ZAC Laser developed a customized large-format automated laser cleaning system designed for large steel structures. The system integrates a high-power laser source with an automated multi-axis platform, enabling efficient cleaning of large and complex surfaces. The adjustable scanning width allows the equipment to adapt to different cleaning areas on the truck body.
Field testing showed a clear increase in processing efficiency and improved coating adhesion after cleaning. In addition, the process produces no abrasive residue or liquid waste, supporting cleaner and more sustainable manufacturing.
